Gaga / People (PL/EN)

02.07.2023 - 17:00 / High Synagogue (1st floor), ul. Józefa 38

Movement language created by Ohad Naharin, long-time director of the Batsheva Dance Company in Tel Aviv, Israel. It is a method of working with the body meant both for dancers – Gaga/ dancers, as well as for all dance enthusiasts – Gaga/people. At the Festival, Natalia will run Gaga/people classes, i.e. classes open to everyone.

During Gaga/people classes, we work all the time, in constant motion, exploring various types of physical tasks. We go beyond our comfort zone, we dance, we face our weakness, we develop body awareness, we use our imagination. We all move together without judging anyone (we work without mirrors) while inspiring one another. Classes are intended for anyone over 16 years of age. No previous dance experience is needed.

Workshops for Senior Citizens

Workshops for Senior Citizens are a series of events by our volunteers – the Machers – to teach Kraków’s senior citizens about Jewish culture, but also to provide young people with an opportunity to learn about the history of Kraków and Kazimierz first hand – from those who witnessed it. They started off in Cheder, the festival club, and became an integral part of JCF.
