“Still Life” is an animated documentary which tells the story of once flourishing Jewish community of Łódź, its almost complete destruction during the Shoah, the post-war rebirth, and, finally, its expulsion in 1968. It’s a story which is told through a metaphor of still life – a painting which was mounted on a wall in an apartment at 41 Kilińskiego St. in Łódź for over 75 years, and which became a silent witness to the tragic fates of families who used to live there, as well as the history of Łódź.

We would like to invite you to a meeting with the filmmakers and the protagonist of the film: Sławomir Grünberg, Lilka Elbaum, Barbara Grünberg

The meeting will be lead by Michalina Majewska

The film will be screened in two language versions: Polish and English.

The meeting with creators will be in English.
