Dan Lande travels making memorials and for that he uses broken plates. He travels honoring the memory of grandparents who emigrated from Central and Eastern Europe to South America and never returned to their hometowns. And that is what this conference is about. Dan will take us on a journey to some of the most inspiring stories of reparation. This lecture is the story of a project that connects two worlds: The world between grandparents and grandchildren in search of their roots, between the past and the present, between Europe and South America. A story that began with five broken plates.
