Air Aliyahs: Operation Magic Carpet and The “Bridge” Operation Jewish Immigration to Eretz Israel after the Second World War (PL)

Since its establishment Israel has been a country of immigration. In the first ten years of its existence the Jewish state has received a few important waves of immigration. Olim hadashim – the new citizens – of Israel came to the Jewish state from over 50 states, e.g. from Central and Eastern Europe, but also Asia and Africa. The lecturer will describe the most important aliyot, their process, and the importance of new citizens for the development of Israel.
